Organizations across Edgewater need security coverage that is dependable without making daily operations more complicated. GuardEX Security Services supports high-rise residential buildings, retail centers, restaurants, offices, waterfront properties, and construction projects through locally managed programs built around each site’s hours, access points, and activity. We combine trained personnel with appropriate technology and straightforward communication so property teams know what is being covered, when, and how important activity will be reported.
Local Protection
Edgewater combines residential properties, local businesses, hospitality or recreation sites, municipal facilities, and construction activity. Their needs can vary by schedule, occupancy, layout, and public access. GuardEX offers armed and unarmed officers, mobile patrols, remote video monitoring, access control, and video security systems that can be used separately or together. We may staff a regular post, conduct documented visits, watch selected camera feeds after hours, or improve control of daily entry. Every assignment is organized around clear duties and communication.
The Region

Edgewater is a narrow Bergen County borough along the Hudson River at the base of the Palisades. It stretches between Fort Lee and North Bergen, directly across the river from upper Manhattan. River Road serves as the main north-south corridor and connects residential buildings, shopping centers, restaurants, offices, parks, and remaining industrial properties. Ferry service provides access to Manhattan, while nearby routes lead to the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, and major New Jersey highways. Edgewater changed significantly from a manufacturing and shipping center into a densely developed waterfront community, with high-rise and mid-rise housing occupying many former industrial sites. The steep Palisades rise immediately west of the riverfront, creating a distinctive linear landscape with limited east-west streets. Public walkways and parks provide access to the Hudson. Edgewater's river views, transportation links, and concentrated redevelopment give it a character unlike the more traditional suburban boroughs farther inland in Bergen County.
